Auction: 35 Objects for 35 Years of QEST!
This year the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) celebrates its 35th anniversary! Iota Glass’ Isabelle Davies was supported through her Masters in Stained Glass Conservation and Heritage Management by a QEST scholarship, and her career would not have been possible without this scholarship and the QEST family’s continuing support.
QEST is fundraising during this special anniversary year, including a silent auction! Isabelle is delighted to be part of the auction with a stained glass panel created by her as Item 27. See the lot here!
This panel is a replica of a section from the Great East Window of York Minster depicting an angel carrying the infant Jesus through the sky. It is painted in the style of John Thornton of Coventry who was the Master Glazier of the window, and uses traditional vitreous paint and silver stain fired on mouthblown glass.
The auction showcases 35 exceptional items generously donated by QEST Alumni and friends. From sculpture and jewellery to print and decorative art, this collection celebrates the skill, passion, and creativity of craftspeople from across the UK. With exclusive one-offs and pieces reflecting skills gained through QEST training, this is a special opportunity to own a piece of UK craft and support the makers shaping its future.
Every bid helps QEST champion craft excellence, protect vital skills, and strengthen the future of UK craft!

The auction closes at 5pm on Sunday 9th November.
