Exhibition: Iota Glass at The 2025 Plowden Medal Award Reception!
Isabelle Davies was honoured to exhibit a selection of stained glass works as part of the 2025 Plowden Medal celebration event held at Pewterers’ Hall, London!
Isabelle exhibited her work alongside fellow Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) conservation and arts scholar alumni. They included Fleur Grenier, a pewter sculptor, Lewis Walduck, a horologist, and Megan Levet, a paintings conservator.
It was a great opportunity to showcase stained glass and young conservation and art talent. This was particularly topic as the exhibitions enhanced the theme of the event’s panel-led discussion on ‘Conservation - The Next Generation’.
The chair of the panel was Tim Knox CVO, Director of The Royal Collection, with panelists Deborah Pocock LVO, the CEO of QEST, Tobit Curteis FIC FSA ACR, founding partner of Tobit Curteis Associates, Emma Jhita, CEO of the Institute of Conservation (ICON), and Dr Bronwyn Ormsby FIC, Principal Conservation Scientist at Tate London and the 2024 Plowden Medal winner.
After this was the award reception celebrating the 2025 Plowden Medal winner Professor Aviva Burnstock, Painting Conservator at The Courtauld, London!
The medal was given by the chairman of the Plowden Medal committee Nick Farrow and the Royal Warrant Holders Association President Philip Coward.
Isabelle loved attending the event and being so deeply involved through both her roles as organiser as part of the Plowden Medal Committee and as exhibitor as a QEST alumna!
It was a very successful evening and there is much to be excited about for the future of the conservation profession!
