Conservation and protection of a rare 13th century grisaille window, Hastingleigh, Kent, which had become coated with damaging growths

Work included art historical research, documentation, specialist cleaning of the growths, repair of broken glass and leads, reversing slight bowing of the panels. With the help of colleagues, the window was removed from the church and reinstalled with improved environmental protective glazing, replacing the polycarbonate sheet that had created the damaging micro-climate with internally ventilated protective glazing.

Work was undertaken whilst working at The Cathedral Studios, Canterbury.
